Has Spring Sprung?

Probably not! It sure is nice here in Kansas, but I'm sure it won't last. I've been working on cleaning up my studio. Why is it that when I'm working on a project I feel I have to pull everything out? Three or four projects later I can't stand it anymore. I have a wonderful cabinet in my studio that was in a hardware store. It has lots of drawers. I have them all labeled. I just need to put everything away and make some new labels. Before I can start a new project I need to clean, clean, clean! When I get everything cleaned up, I will post a picture of my studio. I'm so lucky to have a large space to work in.

Patchwork Purse

I have received so many compliments on my first purse that I made. This one I made for Babs Mellor, a sculptor friend of mine. The pin in the middle is vintage and says, "Preferred Hostess". Babs has hosted many parties and I thought it would be perfect for her. The letter "B" is also vintage.

Crown

The crown is finished! I call it my "gratitude crown". I am so grateful for many things in my life. I have been blessed with a supportive family and wonderful friends. God has been so good to me. This crown is made from diamond shaped bevels that I cut in half and then soldered together. The letters are scrabble pieces & the word gratitude is spelled out the opposite side. I just thought it would be fun to do and it was. I used several pieces of old jewelry.

Crazy Patchwork Purse

I just finished this purse. What you are mainly seeing is the flap. The purse is gold and the strap and sides are the green pattern. The fringe is made of green rayon ribbon and leopard velvet. Some of the embellishments are vintage.
ELDER ANGEL
This angel is about 14 inches tall. He is made of a mixture of prosculp and another more flexible clay. His body is padded wire. He has a vintage pin on his chest. I made 12 "one of a kind" angels and had them on a tree at Christmas.
